Day 1:


Your adventure starts in Rovaniemi, the Arctic Circle, gateway to Lapland and the official home of Santa Claus. Also, known as the capital of Finnish Lapland you will then head 170km further north to the ski resort of Levi for your first overnight stay.


Day 2:


After breakfast you have a chance to enjoy a Lappish mode of travel using kick-sledges to take you to a reindeer farm. You’ll get to know about life on the farm and experience a ride on a reindeer sledge. After snow games and activities, coffee and/or a lunch break, you’ll continue your day with a trip to a snow castle using cross-country skis. During the ski your guide will tell you stories of life in Lapland.


Then, conquer Levi mountain by snowshoe in the twilight of the winter night. Enjoying the night sky (weather permitting) a chance to see the beautiful winter sky filled with a million stars, brilliant moon and dancing northern lights. Next, by the open fire in a Lappish kota (hut) we’ll grill sausages and enjoy a warming juice.


Your guide will be with you throughout the day and will lead you back to your accommodation.


Day 3:


The next day is up to you and your group members to choose. Would you like to be driven, with your guide, to witness the vast Lappish landscape; frozen rivers, lakes and open tundra to visit Kilpisjärvi in the Finnish ‘arm’?


Or, experience the Pallas national park? A night tour by skis or snowshoes will be an experience of a lifetime; the amazing views, the silence…


Day 4:


On the fourth day we return to Levi. Today is all about snowmobiles and ice fishing. If you are lucky, you eat what you catch! After your experience of winter fishing, dinner in a traditional Lappish restaurant called Saamen Kammi on offer will be reindeer meat and Lappish fish. Your traditional feast also includes drumming the Lappish drum and yoik.


Day 5:


On your final day you will be driven to Rovaniemi, where you will visit the museum of Arktikum and hear more of the Lappish way of life and history.


Your experience of our beloved Lapland concludes.
